    Types of fraud

There can be various types of credit card fraud. This involves a situation where your credit card is misused by some other person without your permission.

    Wrong spending

If someone uses the number of your card to make various expenses when you have not authorised him/her to do so then it is a fraud because you will have to pay back the amount to the bank when the statement is generated.

    Numbers stolen

The misuse of credit card occurs because someone has access to the numbers present on your card. By submitting these details at the point of expense the other person is able to charge the expense to your card.

    Internet use

Such a fraud is witnessed on the Internet where your data is often captured. This is followed by a misuse and you realise that your card is being used without permission.

    Extreme care

There has to be extreme care on your part to ensure that there is some safety of the features on your card. Only when this is done will there be a reduction in the incidence of fraud and hence a lower financial burden on you.
