Present on back of card

The CVV number is present on the backside of a credit card. To see this number you need to turn over the card and look at the space below the magnetic stripe.

3-digit code

There is a 3-digit code which will make the identification of the number possible. You will need to separate this from the other 4 digits that might be present on the back of your card.

Similar to password

The CVV number is one of the most important areas of your credit card. It is similar to a password for using your card and hence you need to keep this secret from other people in order to prevent any kind of misuse.

Since the CVV number is important you have to ensure that photocopies of the side of the credit card with this number are not made so that this cannot be misused.
