The following documents are usually required to be submitted to a bank or housing finance institution for availing a home loan :
- Loan application form along with your recent photograph
- Identity proof (any of the below)
- Passport
- PAN card
- Defence ID card
- Voter ID card
- Driving licence
- Ration card
- Government ID card
- Residence proof (any of the below)
- Passport
- Ration card
- Telephone bill
- Electricity bill
- Driving licence
- Voter ID card
- Age proof (any of the below)
- Passport
- Driving licence
- Voter ID card
- Birth certificate
- School leaving certificate
- Life insurance policy
- Ration card
Also required are financial documents like salary slip, IT returns, bank statements, form 16, etc.

Dear sir,
In order to avail home loan facility lots of formalities have to be observed, so can I avail loan against fixed deposit/ recurring deposit/ Bond / LIC policy etc for housing purpose. Mortgaugage of landed property creats lot of problem, so can I avail home loan against such deposit. -

I need to ask that i need a loan of rs. 20 lac, for DDA janta flat in delhi, value of the property is between 35-40 lac but the registry value of the property is around 8 lac, i m working in proprietor ship co. from last more than 8 years an di m getting y salary in cash, can i take the loan for 20lac.
please advise me
