Myself and my wife planned to purchase a flat at chennai nearby our office. The promoter suggested Axis Bank for Loans as it was legally cleared by the bank. we met the DSA at K K Nagar who was handling all the documents and following up work for processing work. we were promised \\\"4 Days\\\" processing by the DSA.We fixed the date for registartion by the month end at an auspicious day around 30 days later after \\\"aadi\\\" month.Axis Bank has asked for tons of documents which normally other banks does not ask for this. we gave all the documents in time to the DSA at KK Nagar..It took 20 days for processing and finally we got to know from DSA the loan is sanctioned.We signed the bond at DSA office at K K Nagar. DSA then intimated that valuer has left for leave and has given a bad remark and that Loan processing will take time...After a week of all follow ups and frusturations, DSA told that the sanctioning may not happen. But when we enquire in the bank, the manager just say we are waiting for a couple of technical documents and once we get them, we will sanction the loan. when we told this DSA, she said that bank will never outrightly say they wont sanction the loan but would prolong it forever.Finally, we cancelled the loan and started processing in another bank. The entire exercise with AXis Bank was a sheer waste of time and money. When we cancelled, they did not give back all the documents and missed one EMI cheque, whihc we gave while signing a bond. we had to stop payment to that cheque and had a long fight with bank for missing it.we were entirely guided by DSA and she never did a follow up with Bank. we were assuming that she is doing all the job. Most of the time, she was not responding properly.Axis bank is a miserable bank with hapless agents and silly officers and we had misfortunate adventure with them. Maybe mine is one such case of bad experience. But Overall it seems lacking professionalism and ethics.
