I recently went in for a home loan where the apartment financing was being done by UTI Bank. I HAD to opt for UTI as the particular loan scheme was a good one and there were no other banks providing the same scheme.Everything has gone smoothly but the UTI DMA (Rajajinagar) that I have to go through is extremely unpleasant to deal with. They arecurt, rude and offered no real hint of customer service for any query asked of them. Banks in India have a long way to go in terms of customer service and this has been a thoroughly unpleasant experience.The agents treat you like they are doing you the biggest favour in the world and don’t even want to help first time loan buyers and guide them through the process even though the whole loan scheme was for first time buyers.Please be warned about UTI DMAs and approach the bank directly for queries and loan application as far as possible.
