I have taken a Home Loan from ICICI Bank and found they have hopeless systems. While they duly charge the customer for the smallest of delays from the customer’s side, they take all their service deficiencies easy.Amazingly. I have been charged my first cheque bounce charges much before any l oan amount was disbursed to me. God knows how that is possible. And then followed Overdue charges and so on.Then I have been charged another cheque bounce charge. I investigated with my bank why the cheque was bounced and they replied that the date was overwritten on the cheque. Mind you, we submit undated cheques and ICICI HF had overwritten. But YOU need to pay the charges. When enquired with the bank through several full-day visits to the bank, not a soul could answer me and finally, after two months and threatening to go to Consumer Court, they reverted these charges through ad hoc adjustments- and then they made mistakes in the amounts reversed- needing more visits and follow-up. Neither the charges nor the adjustments had any basis at all.Worse than the manual accounting of a roadside panwalla. And there is no relation to the rate of interest you take the loan at, and the rate that you will be charged shortly after disbursement.
