I have seen reviews of people on this bank who have suffered a lot mentally,physically and in all other ways from this SBI bank so i thought i will also share my pain. I had applied for a home loan in bangalore branch. These guys are so pathethic in all depts of service that you cannot imagine it is to that extent and i dont know even inspite of this how its share price is going up.I applied for home loan wioth all the necessary documents,then they found one small guarntor is required and returned the file and then after submitting that proof they required one more letter from the lawyer...after that they returned back...like this almost 10-12 times they returned and i had to run all the places to get the documents.........and just to sign on the paper they will make us wait for more than 2-3 hours.........and the main part was on the registration day....the bank has released all the amount apart from the last insatallemnet and on the registartion day they have to bring that and give it to the builder and take the sale deed. BUt these guys didnt turn up at all and the builder was not ready to register until he gets the full amount..........then again i ran almost 30-35kms in this bangalore traffic and arranged a city taxi(as that guy was not ready to come with me on the bike) and then registered the flat.....................i was so frustrated that it had no boundaries.... they hardly work during the office hours and they pretend they are working and make us to wait............. and max they work for 1-2 hours whole day and then they say they are tired of hectic work.............if these type of people come to provate sector then they will be thrown out ion the first hour of their job itself...............bootom line is SBI is waste in all aspect........only thing is that they dont raise the intrest rate like ICICI or HDFC bank................only for that simple reason i have gone to them................or else i would have kicked them out right,left abnd centre..........

Dear, all your pain is worth as you can relax for next 15-20 year, had it been any private bank you would have received loan sitting at home but would have cried for next 20 yrs :-)

completely agree with you. It is waste to go to SBI. Even after 3 months my loan case is in pipe line. I will suggest not to go with SBI home loan.

SBI home loan affair is time consuming and too much documentation. If you are urgent, don't go for this. Unfortunately, there is no proper guidance from BRANCH MANAGERS (simply sit on trees) about timing and docs. I am so pissed off after 4 months still I

thats true, if u r in urgency dont go to SBI. Better apply thorough SBI agent, it will be a fast process. They will not charge you. I too suffered as they didn't approve loan on builder documents.Even though HDFC and LIC is approving on same doc.
