HDFC Bank, a private sector lender, has introduced a premium credit card, solely for women, namely ‘Solitaire Premium’ and ‘Solitaire’. These plastic cards will provide incomparable and beneficial lifestyle offers to the women. The main target of the bank is to disburse at least 2 million Solitaire cards to the women all across the country.

Both the cards Solitaire Premium as well as the Solitaire has a credit limit of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively. The card was unveiled by the Housing Development Finance Corporation Managing Director Renu Sud Karnad.

“We felt there was a vacuum in the premium credit card segment for women. We are sure that Solitaire will fulfil a long-standing need of women who are pursuing a successful career, travelling the world and are at the forefront of the global consumption story,” said Parag Rao, country head (credit cards), HDFC Bank.
