Private lender IDBI Bank in association with the MasterCard has introduced a new prepaid travel credit card ‘IDBI Bank Global Currency Card’. The card will come under the platform of a MasterCard and it can be availed by the people in eight currencies like U.S. dollars, euros, pounds, Singapore, Australian and Canadian Dollars, and Japanese Yen and UAE Dirham.

The Global Currency Card will provide a great deal of benefits to the people. It will provide them an access to more than 1 million MasterCard / Maestro / Cirrus ATMs for the cash withdrawal and balance enquiry.

The maximum amount that can be loaded into the card is USD 10,000 per annum for individuals and USD 25,000 per business trip (as prescribed under extant RBI/FEMA regulations). The card will be accepted in 210 countries and can also be used to make the purchases of goods and services online.
